BIOGRAPHY

Born 1932 in the Old City of Jaffa / Palestine at his historical family building ( The Sacca building ) overlooking the Jaffa Port as shown in above photo, A.Anwar Sacca had a serene and delightful childhood.

He completed his elementary, preparatory and secondary studies between 1938 /1948 at the (College des Freres des Ecoles Chretiennes- St. Jean Baptiste de La Salle). A photo of this historical College still carrying its noble educational mission, is shown hereby.

Since he had distinguished artistic and literate talents, he participated in several scholar theatrical events between 1945 /1948 and was a Board Member then Vice-President of the Jamiyyat Ansar Al Lughat Al Arabiyya ( The Arab Language Students Association ) at the College. Later he was appointed as one of two delegates representing the College within the Board of the Union of Jaffa Arab Students .

On the 20th April 1948 , he graduated with the following seven colleagues from the 4th Secondary ( Matric ) class :-

On the 28th April 1948 , he was forced with his family and hundreds of thousands of other Palestinians to leave their homeland and start their life in Diaspora from scratch.

| GAZA - PALESTINE 1948 - 1949 |

1948 /1949, he joined the AFSC American Friends Service Committee (Quakers). in providing voluntarily humanitarian assistance to thousands of Palestinian refugees who flooded the Gaza Strip.

He witnessed and helped in establishing the three main refugees camps in the strip: - Al Bureij, Maghazee and Nusseirat.

1950, he moved with his family to Jordan where he started building his business career in Textiles import and distribution.

1990, he was one of the founders of the JASD (The Jaffa Society for Social Development) in Amman Jordan, aiming to extend social assistance and rehabilitation for needy people.
